Rust+ guides

Answers to the questions people ask about Rust+, checked against what we have measured on live servers and what Facepunch has actually said.

• How long is night in Rust?

About 8 to 9 real minutes on an 80 minute cycle. Measured from live servers: the in-game clock runs roughly nine times faster at night than in daylight.

• Does Rust+ work when your PC is off?

Rust+ itself does not need your PC. What stops is anything that runs on it, like desktop apps and self-hosted Discord bots, and what else can silence raid alarms.

• Is Rust+ allowed? Can it get you banned?

Rust+ is Facepunch’s official companion app. What a companion tool touches, what anti-cheat watches, and what Facepunch has and has not said about third-party tools.
